I am now on a committee thats task is finding a fitting memorial for Geoff. My best idea so far has been to plant a pumpkin patch, but it's very impermanent.
The Dykstras had a flood at their house. Geoff's mom was so glad that none of his stuff got damaged.
I still haven't been to his grave. The time hasn't been right yet, but I do have the leaves ready for when I do.
I'm purple-haired, music-lovin', seventeen, and attempting to sort out my life... my friend's death from cancer has changed everything: my dreams, my hopes, and my faith. I'm just wading through things one step at a time.
Aside from my all of that, I'm a bit of a rebel and a self-christened music-nerd. I play violin and just finished my grade ten violin exam (I passed too!) I am the Concert Mistress of my orchestra, and had my soloist debut playing Vivaldi's Spring Concerto in the middle of February. (Oh, the irony.) I play other instruments like piano and oboe. I like writing piano music and I’m attempting to write a musical. I'm an actress at heart.
Books are my escape. I have a “slight” obsession with Harry Potter that my friends laugh at.
School has its ups and downs. Music is practically my life. Whether I'm listening to it or playing it or reading about, or teaching it, music comes as naturally as breathing.
I'm also Canadian. Eh?
Currently, I'm at music camp. I'm almost more excited than I've ever been in my life- I'm in a choir doing songs from LES MIS! I am privileged to sing Little Fall of Rain... ! (!)
